Job Opening for Data Scientists

The Institute of Statistics and Big Data at the Renmin University of China invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions in data science, broadly defined. The institute encourages persons from all areas of research to apply, but is particularly interested in the following areas: optimization algorithms in large data analysis, machine learning and data mining (in particular deep learning). A qualified candidate should have a Ph.D. in statistics, applied mathematics, operation research, computer science or any other fields related to data science. Successful candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to high quality research and teaching, sustain an active research and publication agenda and to teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Postdoctoral fellows and advanced assistant professors are strongly encouraged to apply.

The compensation package includes competitive starting salary, research funds, and housing allowances. The salary is commensurate with experience and internationally competitive.
